The video for “Wish You Were Here” was originally shot showing 2 mermaids rescuing the band members. It was shot on the back lot of Universal Studios, Los Angeles.

Because the video was to be show soon after 9/11, the producers and MTV thought that some of the scenes would be politically inappropriate to air. The band and I were, of course, disappointed. The band reluctantly shot a second version with a totally different theme. The original version became one of MTV’s “Banned Videos”.
